OS X 10.2.4 on an iBook 600 (640 MB RAM)

Upon login, all of my settings in Address Book (including my contacts), iChat, and Mail have been forgotten and the apps will lock up if I try to edit my prefs or any information. Replacing preference files have not solved the problem. A check on permissions has not solved the problem either.

It's amazing what little things can do to wreak havoc across 3 apps...

I kinda forgot that I have the ability to revert to a backup of my address book database. So I did just that and...voila...I got all of my contacts back. In addition Mail and iChat work fine now...settings intact.
