Hi there

When setting up my PowerMac for the first time I did a typo obviously and now the computer name is incorrect.

How do I correct this?

I thought I had corrected the name, but after connecting my PowerMac to my PC I notice the PC is seeing the incorrect name.

Thanks in advance

It can be changed from the Sharing Preferences Pane in OS X.

Just so happens I tested the prob when the MacNN email came through alerting me to your reply.

The links in the MacNN email fired up both Safari and Internet Explorer (whichever was set as my default).

So may be the email I tried previously have malformed links??? Weird, as the email is from a reputable source...if that means anything.

Just now I noticed if I view the message by selecting OPEN AS NEW MESSAGE from the FILE menu the message is opened in a separate window and the links work! Go figure?
