Hey all,
I recently got my OS X box to authenticate to an Active Directory Server, and I also was able to setup SMB passthrough authentication. The only problem is that lookupd is case sensative with user names, this means smb as well. However AFP, FTP, and even webDav aren't case sensative, are they bipassing lookupd? Does anyone know of a way to go about making userWithName lookups to lookupd without them being case sensative? I've searched through the darwin and apple forums, but nothing. It's not a huge deal, but it's annoying having to go around and tell 40 users that the have to use case sensative login names. Any ideas?
