For some reason, I can't create a database in myPHPAdmin... I log in with my standard sql login info, and I can do everything else, BUT create a database, which is a problem because I kinda need to make some more of them... this is what it looks like

did you set your php config file to use the root user?

Regardless, I think whatever user phpmyadmin is using must have privileges to create databases. I usually start out with root, and then add another user with database creation permissions using phpmyadmin itself.

Am I making sense?

ok I went into the users section, but my user already has the create privlege, even though it seems to, somehow not work. Also, when I try to create a new user, I get an error.

OK now I'm in big trouble. I managed to create the new database using mysqladmin in the command line, BUT.... i went into MyPHPAdmin and delete 2 of the 4 users, they appeared to me to be doubles, with no privleges, of 2 real users, who did have privleges. So I deleted them and now I can't even log into MyPHPAdmin!! I'm totally lost now, I don't know how to fix this at all.
