I have a epl 5700i....and their awful driver is the only thing keeping me having to go into Classic mode every time to print! (It's quicker to set all .pdf files to a classic acrobat app and then print that way, then to wait for the 2-3 minute delay waiting for the epson to print in X)

I've installed gimp-print for my stylus photo 780...but am stuck with the laser settings.

Thanks in advance.

What do you mean by this?

Not an exaggeration...my workaround is to preview all my docs before printing them...forcing the preview button to launch a classic version of acrobat reader, then printing through classic. The docs come out right away, but therefore is the only reason I need to launch classic at all.

I'm looking for a way to speed up the os X epson 5700 driver so as not to do this...OR to find a hack or gimp-print solution.

Doesn't Gimp-Print support the printer directly?
