I was trying out Keynote the other day and I could not adjust the fonts. I read that this happens if a font is corrupt.

I have downloaded a couple hundred .ttf files, so I moved all files ending in .ttf out of the fonts folder, and now keynote works as expected. Is there any simple way to find out which font(s) is(are) corrupt? I read something about using TextEdit, anybody know???

You could try using ImageMagick. It has a command called identify which will provide you some formatting information about the ttf files and should flag those with errors. You'll probably best off installing it via fink, but I did find it pre-packaged here:

I make no claims on the quality/bugginess/destructiveness of this guy's version since I've never used it. Buyer beware.

Nevermind... I found TextEdit will not let you open the font window if a corrupt font is in the Font's folder. I moved them in groups narrowing down the fonts...

It was only 1 font out of around 200, and everything is working fine now...
