I wondering if it's very wise to do a clean install on my Powerbook G4. I have a iMac install DVD, would this be OK??

I don't think the iMac disk would work on a PowerBook. However, it wouldn't hurt anything to try it.

As long as the OS version on the iMac CD is at least the minimum supported OS for the PowerBook, it will work.
