Now tell me this, has Canon come out with any sort of Drivers for their 1220U Scanner. I seem to remember that they did, then they took it off. Does, anyone have this driver still or can guide me to it online and/or does anyone have any info on a Hack application for the scanner.

And why is it taking Canon so damn long?

They just made some available, but they are a bit primitive. Still, I'm using my 1220U now from Photoshop.

Ethox,

Your email may be out of date.

Ethox,

Np. I'm actually pretty new to getting scanners working under OS X, so I'm afraid I won't be of much help. I was hoping to get the scanner working with Apple's Image Capture app, but no such luck. I have had success with Photoshop so far, but obviously that isn't much help to you.

Caffeine Software just closed it's doors, so I might consider getting Adobe Elements2 if I were you. It's supposed to be really good. You might also considr purchasing VueScan (http://www.hamrick.com/vsm.html ,) but it does cost $50.

I might email Canon about a driver update, but I think all we can do right now is wait for them to get it together.

Good luck.
