whenever i boot up my systems, i get the error message "please disable websharing and restart" for half a second in that startup status window. the machine boots up without any problems, but apache is not running. now when i manually enable websharing in the sharing preferences, the server starts up just fine... but at the next reboot it will have the same error again. any ideas what could be going on here? are there any startup logs i could take a look into to nail down the problem??

thanks in advance!

You will find the error in /var/log/httpd/error.log

thanks... unfortunately i couldnīt find anything. in fact i just restarted, got the usual error message... then looked into the error_log, and there was no entry from the corresponding boot date/time, the last entry was "[notice] Accept mutex: flock (Default: flock)" from several hours ago.
anymore ideas?

you have to know that a friend of mine recently tried to install the latest apache/mysql/php on my system, which failed at some point (well, php 4.3 works actually)... so probably thatīs where the troubles started. maybe there are some config files to verify?

(i have already tried to replace httpd.conf with an older backup, which didnīt help...)
