I'm not a graphic artist and I'm new to Illustrator. I previously used Canvas for simple tasks. I'm trying to import something into Keynote, but I need it to have a transparent background. Here's the image:

I'd like to make the line white and the background transparent so that when I copy it into Keynote it will just be a white trace over the background theme. I have access to Illustrator, Photoshop, and Canvas. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks,
kman

Oh yeah. I have the things in Canvas 8 right now. When I try to paste them into Illustrator 10, I get the following error: The MPS parser is unable to parse the file. I can paste it into Photoshop and then into Illustrator. Hmm...

With such a simple image it would be fairly trivial to paste it into photoshop, invert it and then select the (now) black backround and delete it leaving just the white line. Then you should be able to paste it into Keynote or safe it as a PNG or TIFF and inport it into Keynote. This is all speculatoin however as I don not own Photoshop, Illustrator or Keynote...
