Click that link, choose "Copy" from the Edit menu, paste on folder.

Ticking sound coming from a .pkg package? Don't let the .bom go off! Inspect it first with Pacifist. Macworld - five mice!

What the!?
I didn't know you could just copy and paste icons! And here I was complaining about apple not having a simple way to do it.. and all you have to do is freakin copy and paste! That's insane! Not to mention it makes me feel like a moron! haha

by the way for your photos and junk, if you download pic2icon it's a sweet app for making icons of any graphic file!

you can't just 'paste' on the folder, can you? just tried it, and it doesn't work. don't you still have to 'get info' on the folder, highlight the folder pic, then paste?

Thank you very much! I'll see if I can post a pic of what I was trying to accomplish with this.

Correct. You still have to get info on the file and select the icon before pasting.

Yeah, I guess I kinda figured he'd already know how to paste an icon on a folder. Yes, you go to Get Info to do it. The point is, however, that you don't need pic2icon or anything else fancy - just copy a picture into the clipboard and paste it onto the folder. It's worked that way since System 7.0, and anyone who tells you to do it a more complicated way is just wasting your time.
