Can't click on Dock Popup menus?

Not sure when this happened, but I lost the ability to use the popup menus you get when right clicking (or click and hold) an item in the Dock. The menu pops up, but I can't select any of the menu items. I've tried it with both my USB mouse and the trackpad (iBook 800). Running 10.2.4. Any ideas? Thanks!
