with all this talk about Panther I went searching for some feature list. Not much out there yet but what do you want, or fixed.

It appears that Apple is going to upgrade MacOS X to version 10.3 codenamed "Panther," the next major revision of its operating system, this Fall. Improvements are said to be as follows:

?System-wide metal interface {would like the choice but not permeant}
?Support for 64-Bit architecture
?QuickTime 6.5 {this alone would have a feature list}
?iChat 2.0 with videoconferencing capabilities
?Final Safari release 1.0 GM
?Updated iApps (possible inclusion of iWorks?)
?Enhanced Dock features
?Overall system speed enhancements
?Optimized for the new systems

this was mostly from looprumors.com

10.3 Panther will not have a brushed metal interface.
If it does I will eat my mum.

I've heard Panther will sport a system-wide "beige stucco" interface, with an advanced option of "furry handcuffs."

Who will you eat then?

Jeez, you mean they are still planning to leave all the debug code in there?

Absolutely not.

They're going to add a bunch back.

That is a relief. For a moment, I thought I'd have to install Developer Tools and put it all back in myself. (Actually, I think that's how XP came about, but I could be wrong.)
