What is the easiest way to change a file's type and creator attributes in OS X?
It would have been nice if Apple had allowed this to be done through Get Info. I sometimes work with a Classic app that will only open files with the attributes it expects.

Search on VersionTracker for XRay. It's great for change type and creator, as well as file permissions and a host of other attributes.

Wrong. This does nothing to the type and creator codes. What I'd like to know is why there isn't a simple, free, type and creator changer that doesn't suck.

There is and it's called Quick Change.
