I am sorry if this has been asked a ba-JILLion times already, but is there a key-combo that will allow mw to delete a file or group of files in one fell-swoop...?
Example... while doing some spring-cleaning of my drives, I was deleting hundreds and hundreds of files after archiving some older client directories. If I ABSOLUTELY know that I want these files gone for good... then why should I have to move them to the trash fist, and THEN empty the trash...?
I TOTALLY understand that it's a level of safety for users to give them a 2nd (or 3rd, actually) chance to recover a file that they may have accidentally thrown away... but when you KNOW that you're trying to dump a lot of files... why isn't there a "PowerUser" method of just instantly deleting files...? And if it DOES exist (sans terminal entry... I'm talking GUI only) what is the process...?
Granted... I know it's not a huge deal to take the ONE extra step and click on "Empty Trash"... but when you're doing it over and over for dozens of directories and drives... it gets old.
Any insight...? Or is it just "the way it is" ...?

No terminal, but you'll have to use the keyboard
Use command(apple)-delete to send the files to the trash and then press command(apple)-shift-delete to immediately delete the files.
I'll assume you've turned off the 'display warning before emptying trash' preference in the finder....

Well... yeah... I knew about the keyboard shorcuts... I use the apple + delete combo all-the-time to move to the trash... but I forgot that adding "Shift" will empty the trash... so I guess it can basically be a two-step process still, but quicker with the key-combo adding "shift" to the second iteration.
Good-enough for now, I guess... thanks.
