Hello,
I have a couple apps (menu bar stuff) that I want to launch on startup. I am a seasoned linux user, but new to OS X. How do I get apps/scripts to run at boot time (after the user logs in)?

Open System Preferences and choose Login Items and then drag-and-drop what you want, or click the Add button.

Open System Preferences -> Login Items

You're done.
