There's a bitmap font that comes with Windows 2000/XP called Terminal (filename 8514oem.fon). I want to have it on my Mac because it's really good for viewing ASCII art and stuff like that. Monaco doesn't have all those special characters, and I haven't been able to find a Mac font that is monospaced and has those characters.
So I'm wondering if there's any way of converting the .fon file into either TrueType or Mac Type1 formats? If not, does anyone know a (free) Mac font that could do what I need it for?

First, try dragging the font into Library/Fonts.
I'm not sure if OS X can work with it, but it's worth a try.
If that doesn't work, a program called TTConverter might be able to convert it.

TTConverter is just for TrueType fonts, so no dice there
