Just a question. Why are there no
cheap flash alternatives for ten.
Photoshop has elements, and gimp, and cine' paint, and even painter classic
free with a wacom tablet. And for the WYSIWYG web design softwares we have
The free but slow navigator builder,
and everything else costs around 150-300
but I bought freeway for 160 through a sale.
But why oh why is there no flash alternative ?

There simply is no substitute for Flash...on any platform. Flash MX is a huge leap forward from previous versions and more or less makes Flash a viable application development platform.

If all you want to do is animate and interactivity or database integration is not important. then take a look at Moho...I think it's around $100. There is an app called SWfX and it generatesa flash text effects only. It runs about $30-$40, but the compant that sells it is a bit shady. Toon Boom Studio is a tremendous animation app that exports to swf, but it's pricey. Adobe has LiveMotion, which is less expensive than flash, but nowhere near the program.

Forgot all about that one. It looks
like they have not updated in a year.
Still looks nice.
Thankyou.
