While providing FTP access, how I can limit one user to one directory (his ~) and its subdirectories?

When I enable FTP access, the user logs in OK but is able to browse all his way up to /Users and has access to some folders, seeing usernames and such.

This user does not have admin privileges.

Thanks for any info. Also, any pointer to a good article on providing FTP access on X will be much appreciated.

They're in the UNIX forum. Ask there.
Nasrudin sat on a river bank when someone shouted to him from the opposite side: "Hey! how do I get across?" "You are across!" Nasrudin shouted back.

Yes, sir!

Anyways, problem solved. A jaguar bug disabled ftpchroot.
1.Recompiling ftpd,
2. putting it under /usr/libexec,
2.5 enable root, login as root
3. making a new file ftpchroot and adding the FTP user's name there, and,
4. putting ftpchroot file in /private/etc solved the trick.

Now the user has access to only his/her home folder and its subdirectories, and nowehere else.
