I was writing an email and I saved it as a draft and then my computer did a huge assed crash. When I restarted and went into mail the message was all empty except for this:

The message from <Unknown sender> concerning ?<Unknown subject>? has not been downloaded from the server. You need to take this account online in order to download it.

Now I cannot delete the damn thing it just keeps coming back. How do I get rid of the POS?

I don't know what it is getting at in terms of "downloaded from server" considering it was written locally on my computer.

Any suggestions?

Try repairing permissions. I had this happen this morning on one of our work machines - root had taken ownership of the mbox file inside the sent items.mbox directory. Once I changed the owner back from root to the regular user, everything seemed fine.
