I've not had my machine long and never really felt much need to use Sherlock. I've just tried doing a couple of web searches and the application quits repeatedly ('unexpectedly' of course - OS X must be a nervous wreck, forever getting a fright from unforeseen events). Should I be worried? Where's Watson when he's needed?

I'll be upgrading to Jag soon, but it does seem odd that something simply doesn't work (a bit like Internet Explorer).

10.1.3 (yeah, yeah, yeah), 800MHz Quicksilver 2002, 768MB RAM

At least update to 10.1.5 if you cannot get Jaguar installed. I had the same problems in 10.1.2 - 10.1.3 with Sherlock.

10.3 will be released in half a year or so, so I would wait for that instead.
Nasrudin sat on a river bank when someone shouted to him from the opposite side: "Hey! how do I get across?" "You are across!" Nasrudin shouted back.

I thought Panther (10.3) needs 10.2 or later before you can install it...

Except I could put my shoes on and run down the library, ask the funny lady for the reference section and lookup a word quicker that Sherlock can.

I like the icons though.

Does this include Sherlock's launch time or not?

I wouldn't want to imaging it without prebinding. That'd be like the difference of removing all that debug code.
