Manually update prebinding?

I posted a few days ago about getting a "fix prebinding" console message every time I launched 0Sex. Got a really helpful reply about third party apps often not having an optimize phase during installations which is probably the cause of this. Here's the

thread

I've been getting a fix prebinding console message somewhat regularly now with other apps (Safari and Finder) and am getting worried. Found a Knowlege Base article with the following:

"Though update_prebinding may be executed manually, it is not necessary to use it at any other time."

Any idea how to update manually? I'm also wondering if I should just remove the offending 3rd party app (ffmpegx), but will that remove the binaries that I installed separately and are probably the cause of all this?

sudo update_prebinding -root /

But OS X 10.2 will automatically do this for any new app that is installed after a restart.

After a bit more research, apparently 10.2 is supposed to do this automatically upon restarting the app (not sure if you meant restarting the system or not). To cover all my bases I restarted the computer.

I launched 0Sex again and the same thing happened. I checked the system log and found this message. It says that it will redo prebinding but this doesn't work apparently.

Apr 2 19:36:34 [mycomputer] /usr/libexec/fix_prebinding: /Applications/Utilities/0SEx 0.0101b/0SEx 0.0101b.app/Contents/MacOS/0SEx 0.0101b could not be launched prebound.
Apr 2 19:37:01 [mycomputer] /usr/libexec/fix_prebinding: Will check and redo_prebinding on /Applications/Utilities/0SEx 0.0101b/0SEx 0.0101b.app/Contents/MacOS/0SEx 0.0101b

Might try the Terminal command you suggested. A little nervous though, every time I go in there.
