I would liek to have a folder in my dock that is an alias to "/".
Not to my hardrive or my home directory...but to the actual root directory.

is this possible?

its obviously embedded in the toolbar somehow...

This would be nice so that i can see when drives are mounted...and access them..etc

Thanks,

M2

P.S. been experimenting but can't seem to do it.

/ IS your hard drive. Do "cd / && open ." in a terminal -- see, you get the root of your hard drive. If you want to see where drives are mounted, that's not at /, it is at /Volumes.

ahh of course...

I am sorry I got confused there....

That makes sense... /Volumes.

But the thing is...that when I do that i can't see my main drive mounted...

But I suppose i can just make an alias of my drive in that folder...

Yep worked nicely.

thanks.

That's because your main drive is mounted at /, not in /Volumes.
