how can I stop the pop-up window that always ask if I want to keep connect on the net or not??

always is popping around

go to

system preferences,

select "Network"

select the "PPP" tab

Click "PPP Options" button at bottom

uncheck the second option from the top of the "Session Options" section.

My problem is exactly the opposite.I cannot get IC to do anything.It's fields stay constantly blank.Also anything I put in the 'Network' fields is not saved.I have sufficient permissions as far as I can tell.In short,I cannot surf my dsl in X.It was suggested I reinstall but I don't have the CD handy.Stuck in the Land of os 9.1 ....
