Tried to compile transcode for OS X? I keep getting an obscure libtool error reference that i have been unable to decipher. It could well be that transcode currently may not compile at all on OS X but I sure would like to get it ported because it is miles better than Mencoder/Forty-Two/ffmpeg. Any assistance in porting it would be most welcome as i am not very code literate.

Well, if you would show the error you get then some people might help you.
Also your thread might become more attractive if you name it something like "Problems compiling transcode".

ok i will when i get home. i beliee though it could be a problem between OS X and the other gnu libtool i have installed. anyway i will post again later with the full skinny of the error. i am not holding up much hope but it sure would be cool to have transcode working under OS X.
