In the apple menu, I've got the "recent items" set to show the 10 most recent documents. However, my MS Word documents aren't appearing in the menu. Anybody know why they aren't, and how I can make them appear there? Thanks.

I think it only counts items that you opened by double-clicking. It definitely doesn't count items you open from within an individual app.

I've found that certain kinds of documents just do not appear in there... I can't really explain it. Pictures don't, for example, when they open with Preview (for me they do not, anyway).

I think I was able to fix that problem (by accident) while trying to troubleshoot my inability to perform a content index (or, I could justt be trippin'). It seems that deleting the contents of the indexes file (located in Home > Library > Indexes) fixed my 'recent items' issue. Although, my "open recent" items it AW is STILL useless.
