Why is it I never heard of this? I went to MS's Mactopia site and there, in all its glory, is a fully functional, easy to use, 100% real Windows Remote Desktop Client for MacOSX.

Now I can sit at my Mac and do everything I need to do on any of the blasted Windows machines around the office without ever having to drag my butt over there!

This is the finest piece of software to come out of Redmond in ages.

Peace,
Tony

RDC is MUCH older than 1 month though. I've been using it for quite some time. 1.0.1 is simply the latest release.

I for one have been using Remote Desktop Client since August 2002. Indeed, it is a nice piece of software.

Interestingly if you open the .app package contents there are .ics which when opened with Graphic Converter have naked ladies in them.

Hmmm... I checked my 1.0.1 on my TiBook, and it was released 2/27, not 3/3. (I've been using RDC since last year - dunno what exact version number.)

Timbuktu and Remote Desktop Client don't do the same thing.

Timbuktu (and Apple Remote Desktop) are just showing you what's on the screen - MS Remote Desktop acts as a terminal.

I had the RDC working great between my mac and my XP machine, but now I can't seem to get it to work.

I am going through a wireless connection (802.11g), OS 10.2.6, XP SP 1...everything had been working but now when I try to log into the XP machine from my Mac, I get the username and password promots, then I get the windows mouse cursor but nothing shows up on the screen; just a blue back ground.

My windows machine then seems to freeze up and I must shut it off and reboot.

Has anyone seen this?
DDJ

Now we come to step three. This... drives... most... people... crazy.
