I'm getting an old free Windows 98 box to run Kazaa (no monitor). The microsoft remote desktop program only works with winxp professional and 2000 server/nt.
Is there an alternative remote controlling program to Microsoft's Remote Desktop?
I've heard about VNC. Would that work?

Yes, VNC will do a great job. As a matter of facts, I've been controlling my Win2k server from OS X for a long time now, using - yes that's right, VNC.
