Hey all. I am looking for a program, freeware or cheap shareware ($10 or less) that will let me change the menu's on finder, perhaps get rid of the dock, get rid of the Mac Hard drive icon on my desktop, and make a secondary mouse click on desktop menu (like commonly seen in linux). Are there any good programs for doing any of these things?

Well you can remove the hard disk icon from your desktop for free by using the Finder Preferences and uncheck the Hard Drive button under " show these items on my desktop"
I doubt you will find something to remove the dock, although you are aware you can hider it.
I know nothing about any progam that can change Finder menus. There are several that can enhance the Finder menus, ASM and FruitMenu come to mind, as I use them.

http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/18345 - bye bye dock...
If you feel adventuresome, all the Finder's Menues are in /System/Library/CoreServices/Finder.app/Contents/Resources/English.lproj/Localized.rsrc

DO NOT PLAY WITH THAT LAST FILE UNLESS YOU ARE USED TO PLAYING WITH MAC OS 9 RESOURCE FORKS! I MAY PREVENT THE FINDER FROM STARTING UP!

But incase that didn't turn you away, download
http://www.resexcellence.com/files/Q...t.sit-link.sit and http://www.resexcellence.com/files/resedit.bin
Copy the .rsrc file.
paste a copy away somewhere safe.
Paste a new copy on your desktop.
Drag and drop it onto Quick Convert. (It will seem like it did nothing. Don't panic. it did what it needed to do. Don't Re-Drag it onto QuickConvert)
Now open ResEdit. (This will start Classic).
When ResEdit starts, select the rsrc file from the open dialog.
Now go into the MENU resources. This is where the names for the stuff in the finder is. (There are ways to reorder them but I can simply not describe how to do that here, I'll just describe changing the text on it) DO NOT CHANGE ANY OF THE ID'S!
After making the changes, save the file.
Drop it back onto QuickConvert.
Now put this code in exactly like it is here.
Code:
sudo mv ~/Desktop/Localized.rsrc /System/Library/CoreServices/Finder.app/Contents/Resources/English.lproj/Localized.rsrc
logout. login. Now if the Finder won't start back up, you'll have to go and do another mv command from single user interface. (hold command (The Apple Key) + s when the computer first starts up)

Check out Menu Master from Unsanity (http://www.unsanity.com/haxies/). It'll let you do the Finder menus (and all other ones in the system).

Can you elaborate on "secondary mouse click on desktop"?

If I do a right mouse click, or control or apple click on desktop, i get a menu of my favorite applications and stuff that I can click on to start them. This is common in linux.

You can do something like that with Fruit Menu from Unsanity.
