Hrm.... I've upgraded to 10.2.5 and just realized that my combo drive isn't recognizing blank media. That means, when I put a blank cd in the drive, I get the 'this disc contains no volumes that Mac OS X can read' and a prompt to eject or ignore. This means I can't easily drag files onto the icon and burn by ejecting.

I'm trying to create a disk image right now and will try to burn using disc copy, but this is rather frustrating. Any ideas, oh great gurus?

EDIT: I can burn using the disc copy program. If I create an image, I can then burn it to a blank cd even though that cd isn't appearing on the desktop.

Try doing it as a different user, that will give you an idea of how bad the problem is.

Also run disk first aid from the OSX installer CD.
