I downloaded the OmniGraffle Pro. 3.0 beta, and I had a look around, very nicely designed program Anyway, those utility windows are simply fantastic! Much better than what comes in Mac OS X standard.
In vino veritas.

OmniGraffle Professional 3.0 is a *wonderful* program! Even the icon is one of the best I have ever seen!

Wanna post a screenshot for those of us who don't have time to download and tinker with it? Thanks.

Screenshots don't do them justice. It's the behavior that's insanely great (notice the 'I gonna dock now' radiation!)
Nasrudin sat on a river bank when someone shouted to him from the opposite side: "Hey! how do I get across?" "You are across!" Nasrudin shouted back.

Hmm, I can't wait to try out this app. The screenshots remind me of the NeXT menu bar...
Is this rock and roll, or
a form of state control?

Remind's me more of Illustrator, when you 'dock' the tabs together, After there 'Tabs' fight with Macromedia, they may want to pass the layout by a loyer(sp?)

Comparing to other applications, the new OmniGraffle utility windows look very similar to those used in the Macromedia MX interface (see also Microsoft Office X, with the famous "formatting palette") - here, for example, are Fireworks MX and Word X:

(click on the thumbnails for the full-size Word X screenshots).

... A very good and powerful concept (especially together with tabs)...

You're right, they do look like the MX utility windows, but for some reason Omni did a far better job implementing them. Man those guys are awesome.

They are just the best tabs/util windows period. Behaviour is spot on.

Yes, and if you observe closely when you're dragging the top of one palette against the bottom of another, these blue Airport-esque waves travel between the two. It makes it SO intuitive, really conveys the concept of palette 'magnetism' if you will. And the effect is silky smooth on my G4 400. Impressive would be an understatement...

Solid, solid stuff from Omni. They have a true knack for making very mac-like programs. In this case, surpassing even apple in the palette department. All in all, I'm very impressed.
