For some reason I can't login into Disney blast and this a very serious issue. This really ticks off my 20 month old daughter. She doesn't care about hearing "oh, it's a beta version". From her point of view It needs to work now -no buts about it.

So I have to go into IE to access the site. This sucks, Safari FLASH performance is so much better than IE. I use to be able to login and surf the site with earlier Safari betas. The last two (includuding the latest one do not work). What I'm thinking is that the Disney web admins must have blocked Safari access.

Is there any way I can identify Safari as IE on the http request? I know that they are a few Safari enhancement tools out there, do any of them do this spoofing trick?

Thanks!

I rember playing with some Safari tweakers back when Safari first came out. I KNOW there was one that would let you change how Safari identified itsef to the host site... but I can't rember what it was called. i just cheked Safar Enhanser but that wasn't it.. take a look around www.versiontracker.com for some Safari stuff.

I'm sure some hxor on this bbs will have the answer for you with link.

1) Enabled the debug menu as per the instructions here: http://www.macosxhints.com/article.p...y=safari+debug

2) Restart Safari and goto the debug menu (in the menu bar of safari)

3) Go down to User Agent

4) Select Windows MSIE 6.0 (or alternative)

Get any of those Safari enhancing progs, and activate the Debug menu

in there is a menu "user agent", where you can pick from:
Mozilla 1.1
Netscape 7.0
Netscape 6.2.2
Netscape 4.79
Mac MSIE 5.22
Windows MSIE 6.0
Konqueror 3
and of course 'automatically chosen'
