We need some more info, specifically when does the blue screen appear and what did you do, and what were the instructions at Apple that didn't work. If its at startup after the welcome to OS X, then sounds like your window manager is corrupted, probably easier to just reinstall ( and install 10.2 if you've got access to it).
Cheers Ry

You could search the forums before posting your question. We get these questions like 4 times a month

He probably shut it down incorrectly, like pulling the plug or something. Same thing happend to me, but I got stuck at the grey screen. The support guy said I had to reboot the PRAM...Whatever that is...I forgot the keys to do that though. And if you do need to reinstall, while your computer is starting up, hold the mouse button so the CD drive opens, then you can pop the install disk in. Then simply push it back in gently and power down by holding the power button, then power up holding the C key. And there you go, you're at the install screen.

Soyanut, could you post some further details with the problem? Is this a new install of the OS? Have you tried the install CD to boot from?

couple of possibilities:
hold down control-command-power if it's just an ordinary kernal panic (what I suspect a blue-screen in 10.0.4 is). This will force restart your machine - if you have a disk repair utility you may want to run it to to repair any damage caused by the crash.
if it's something where you do have to reset the pram, I believe you do do by holding down command-p-r or command-p-r+either control or option. This will reset your time/date settings and I think most of your system preferences.
Good luck...

Yes, it is command-option-P-R. See here.
