Hi everyone,

In OS 10.2.5, when creating a new location and selecting a modem, there is an option to "Wait for dial tone before dialing". I know that this option will wait until it detects a U.S. dial tone and will then begin dialing.

My question is if it hears a European dial tone, will it know enough to then continue dialing, or will it say that it couldn't detect a dial tone?

Thanks.....

P.S. - I know that you can simply uncheck "wait for dial tone before dialing" but we don't want to go that route.

Well, I'd assume so, since there is no OS X US only version. Why not try it?
