Hi guys, i need help in installing msn messenger on the PB. I can be considered as a new user to Mac as i have not used it for the past ten years and just got back into it. Can someone help me by listing a step-by-step guide in installing the program ?

Thanks.

Down load from here

It will download as a .dmg file, which should get auto mounted. (if not just double click on it)

Open the image and just drag "MSN Messenger" to where you want it. /Applications/ or maybe /Users/YourName/ (your home folder).

That's it.

Then right click or control click on the disk image (white looking hard drive) to unmount it then you can delete the .dmg file.

This is how 99% of Mac software is installed, some will have installers to varify you have the proper privliges and a rare few apps do it like OS 9 or windows.

Download the program, double click the icon and follow the on-screen instructions. Not really all that much to it.

Just click the green button in the upper left. That won't be FULL screen (the Mac doesn't do full maximize the same way as the PC but it'll be as big as it will get).

Or better yet hit command-Q and launch Safari. That's much better

I would also suggest that you check out Proteus. It's another messaging app that is MUCH nicer.
