Okay, I recently booted into OS 9 from OS X. Now my problem is, this is the first time I've ever used a Mac, so I don't know how to boot back into OS X. Help!

It's been so long, I've almost forgotten...

Go to the Apple in the top left corner of the screen. Pick "Control Panels", choose "Startup Disk". Select "OSX" (or whatever you named it) and restart.

BTW All, installed 10.2.5 and fired up Classic. It added updated components for OS9. Thought you might like to know.

Go to Control Panels -> Startup Disk. Choose your OS X system folder. Restart.

Thanks to both of you! I had actually found a way out before, but it wasn't exactly a good one. What I would do was re-install OS X. I have another question, is it possible to turn a OS 9 screen saver into an OS X screen saver.

No, not really.

You can run the OS 9 screen saver through classic, but you can't 'convert' it to an OS X screen saver, to do that you would need the source code, and then you would have to port it to OS X.

restarting and holding down X should boot into X. also restarting and holding down option will bring up a bootmanager which may or may not show you machines X-ness and boot it. holding X shoulda done it though.
