I love Safari and find it fast but I do notice that accessing https: sites (secure) is slow in Safari, I really notice it on my banking site and .Mac, it takes a long time to load images, when other browsers do it fairly quick on the same page.

I know https is slower to access but isn't Safari lagging a little here?

I am sure this will be dealt with before 1.0 just wanted to see if anyone else notices this.

I can't even get my banking stuff to work with safari... (Although I'm pretty sure that i is my banks fault and not safari...)

But yes, for everything else (like nochex/amazon etc), when it works, https is very slow...
