okay a friend of mine wants to extract some a bunch of text from some PDF files and he has been having some tough times doing it.

He has found some software that will do it Text Lightning 2.1 but it is a little pricey just for this one option tha he will be useing it for. (20 bucks)

so does anyone know of any other software that will accomplish this? can you do it with Acrobat? i am not sure, seeing i don't have a copy.

Thanks anyway

Acrobat Reader to Word X <-- I've tried it and it works.

Tried copying to BBedit Lite and TextEdit but junk was pasted instead of what I wanted. I tried Word X and hey! It worked!

you can do it with acrobat as well... click on the Text-Select Tool (looks like the letter "T" with a box to the bottom right of it) and then select the text you want to extract. Then just copy and paste the text you need.
