I will have to install and setup a XServe in an office.
The latest info I had about setup was that if you want to run the remote admin modules (CPU temperature, Hardware tests) from a client computer, it is necessary to have a DNS server running on the same network as the XServe before installation. Right?

Does anyone know if it is possible to set all up without the DNS server?

Can I setup a fully functional XServe without connecting it to the company network?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks - Greg

I'm pretty damn sure a DNS is not necessary...

And yeah, you can set up a dummy server that way.
