Several sources, including Matthew Rothenberg (whose scoop is usually pretty solid), have said it will. Of course we won't even begin to get reliable scoop on Panther until around WWDC time, so there's no telling yet. I can't imagine Apple wouldn't make the effort to include this feature, as it's one of the most glaring advantages of Windows XP.
Find out just what any people will quietly submit to and you have found out the exact measure of injustice and wrong which will be imposed upon them.

XP proved that multiple users being logged in create more problems than it solves.

However, I'm sure that if anyone can beat Microsoft's attempt at a feature, it's Apple.

Well I came in to tell you that sucks. I hate misleading thread titles. Sometimes it's done out of ignorance but it's even worse when people intentionally create misleading titles.

If your thread was interesting to begin with you wouldn't have to use a misleading title to get people in here.

(Now..aren't ya glad you invited me it?)

Lord I can't stand <500 post count users!!!

Anyway, I think they do need to implement this ability into the OS. It is one of the very few things that I drool over in XP. I tend to keep my account open when I would rather close it because I don't want to have to shut everything down before walking away for 10 mins etc. I know that a screen saver would password protect the computer, but I would rather do a soft log out and free up the computer for another family member.

I guess we can hope...

Same here! My mom always wants to check her mail, do her online banking, etc., and it's horribly annoying to close 7-8 running apps, then re-open all of them once she's finished. Honestly...

You can sort of do this now by copying the contents of the window in question (select all and copy) and then pasting into a word processing app or text edit. It pastes the names of the files and folders that you copied. What do you mean by list shaded windows?

Drag the folder to the print center icon.
