Hi All,

I'm trying to copy a file to a disk, but I'm getting an error message saying that the disk is full. This doesn't make sense though, as the Info box indicates that there are 14 gigs free on the disk.

What the heck is going on? The disk affected is not my boot disk, and no apps are running when it happens (at least according to the Dock).

Help?

Thanks in advance for any assistance,

Chas

What OS (9 or X) ? edit: oops, this is obvious .. duh! /edit

What is the format of the target disk ?
Is the volume 'locked' ?
Is the volume's priveleges such that you are not allow to copy to it ?

Good questions, thanks.

Disk is HFS+, volume is not locked and permissions were correct (I was logged in as an admin, and I ran Disk Utility to fix permissions).

It's all moot anyway: I just wiped the disk and all is well now (besides having to move all that data around <sigh>). Thanks for your help!

Cheers,

Chas
