iChat and ICQ have stopped working for me for some reason (they just don't connect). All other net traffic is fine.

How can I re-install iChat as I think the frameworks for instant messaging has been screwed up and needs a proper re-install.

From what I recall, the 10.2 CDs do not allow custom installs.

why dont you try reinstalling ICQ first. see if that helps.
or try playing with your firewall settings, like turn them on and off
what kind of connection do you have? there's a similar post in the software forum. weird.

Ask someone to send you the files.
I'll be surprised if this is the trouble.

Get Pacifist and extract iChat from the OS X 10.2 installer disc:
