Open /Save dialogues; they lack certain functionalities - two key ones:

~if a file name is too long it's cut off, and the columns can't be resized

~columns can't be reordered according to 'date' or 'most recent'

Is there a system tack-on that fixes the lack of these features?

thx,
kent

Run to Default Folder. It unfortunately doesn't resolve all the problems - for that we'll have to await OSX 10.3. But it does a good job of fixing many of them.

Defaul Folder is an excellent product - but at $35 way too expensive for what it does.

Despite the high price I was all ready to register it, now I'm hanging on for the next OS upgrade.

Default folder is not much of an improvement, wait till 10.3!
