I just upgraded from 10.2.4 to 10.2.5, and now my flatpanel iMac won't go to sleep on it's own. I can force it by selecting sleep from the apple menu, and if I let it sit for a while the screensaver comes on, then the screen goes to sleep, but the computer itself never sleeps. The light on the front of the display never comes on and I can still hear the fan running.

Filesharing is not turned on and nothing else on the machine changed. I checked the settings for energy savings in system preferences, and it should go to sleep after 30 minutes.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Mine's gone through stages when it has insomnia too, without an upgrade to the OS.

I figure sometimes things start running that prevent it sleeping.

Usually fixed after a log out or a reboot.
Have you tried that?

After upgrading to 10.2.5, my iBook takes 30 to 60 seconds to go to sleep. It only used to take about 2 to 5 seconds before 10.2.5.

Very annoying!
