Ok, so, I've given it over a year and I hate it. I don't know why it was introduced as a DEFAULT and wish there was a PREFERENCE for a change.
What am I talking about?. . .COMMAND-TABbing. In the good ole days (and I don't say that too often) It was nice to be able to itterate between apps quickly with a simple press of those buttons and get on with life. Now it would appear that some brainiac somewhere thought otherwise.
Before you all get all defensive and tell me that if I HOLD THE BUTTONS down I can do that, that ain't (a.k.a. "isn't") what I want. I don't know about the rest of you, but if I've got an app that I don't plan on navigating to, well, I SIMPLY DON'T OPEN IT!!! I don't like the idea of it bouncing me back and forth between two apps as if it's stuck in some sort of app loop. Sort of like Adobe changing system buttons to fit their needs (but don't even get me started on that).
Anyway, in closing, I don't mind the "new" features being there, necessarily, but I do hate, no loathe, the fact that it's the default behaviour. . .Please tell me you guys are "hearing" this. . .

I didn't quite get the gist of your problem. You don't want to command tab between the open apps that are running?

I think he's referring to the fact that Command-Tab now defaults to jumping to the previously selected application (which I actually prefer)

I prefer this too, by far.
It's a smart compromise between switching in load order (as LiteSwitch does) and Dock order.
E.G., if you really can't stand this, turn on Full Keyboard Access and use control-D (or set whatever command you wish) and the arrow keys to navigate the dock.

I appreciate everyone's input, but my problem isn't with the existence of the feature, it's the fact that it's the DEFAULT, for a long-standing button combination. I'd much rather *it* be CONTROL-D.
. . .and like I said, 'don't open apps that [you're] not willing to navigate to'. I personally don't use fluff apps (i.e. background calendars, clocks, etc. . .)and would much prefer it if my work environment could, as easily as it has in the past, remain so. . .
