CF/microdrive card takes minute or more to be recognized

I'm a digital photographer who puts lots of CF and Micro drive cards in the slot on my 1Ghz Tibook, 10.2.4 In the past few weeks, any of my 5 512MB ridata cards or 2 1 gig Microdrives cause the same thing, it takes forever to get them recognized. If I try and remove the card before it gets recognized, I get a kernel panic. Any thoughts? Much thanks....Peter

I get the same thing. And the funny thing is that is too started a few weeks back. Strange...

You are not alone. Apparently it is a 10.2.4(and5) bug.
