Hey everyone, I'm having a problem with the 10.2.5 update. It won't install at all via software update, or from my desktop. All is says is that Errors were encountered. Please try again. I went so far as to even wipe my system clean and try again. Does anyone know of another place where I can d/l the update other than apple ? I think that their file must be corrupt somehow. It downloads fine, but errors out when configuring the install. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Try rebooting- and holding Apple-s after the chime. This will put you in single user mode.

type /sbin/fsck -y (this is just above your cursor when the boot is finished). If errors are reported, keep typing that command until no errors are reported.

type reboot when finished.

In the Utilities folder is an app named Disk Utility. Run that. Click the second tab, click repair permissions. Go for a long walk.

When permissions are repaired, reboot. Then try installing the update.

About a 50-50 chance this will help.
