This problem has not been specific to 10.2.5, but any update above 10.2. I figured maybe it was a problem with download, so this time shelled out the $20 for the upgrade disc.

The problem: Once I update, I lose my drag and drop functions. Where something sits on the desktop is where it stays. Same for anything in folders. Nothing moves. It highlights, but that's it.

Also, I lose the menu bar, then it reappears like the finder is relaunching. In addition, every time I launch Safari now, it immediately crashes. This is very frustrating as 10.2 ran rock solid.

In the past, when I have had this problem (10.2.2) I had to re install 10.2, thus losing everything on my drive. I can't have that happen again, there is just too much stuff to replace (no cd burner). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This is a Rev. B iMac with a HARMONi 500 uprade, and 384 megs of ram.
