Unable to access the swatch librarys options via the "window" drop down menue.??
Running OS X 10.2.5
swatch pallet remains at default offering and cant be switched
Illustrator recognises them (other swatches) when I open them directly from the illustrator>presets folder. But I canot switch between the colour sets.
could it be a periferals issue..(Wacom tablet)?
I have tried reinstalling AI but its no good .
Has anyone heard of this happening before

This is generally indicative of a corrupted font, or at the very least a font AI doesn't especially like. I've run into this a couple of times. Fonts work fine in other programs, but they break AI. There's also ongoing discussion on Adobe's boards about this. The only way I know how to fix it is a combination of a utility like Font Doctor checking for corrupted fonts, and then moving fonts out of the font folder one at a time and restarting AI each time. It's a long and tiring process. But quite rewarding when your finished.

Thanks a lot...I just ran into this same problem.
I downloaded FontDoctor, and ran the demo to diagnose. Most of the font errors it gave me were from a recently added font folder of 'all adobe fonts'. I simply removed the folder, restarted AI, and presto...pantone swatches reappeared.
Font Doctor did offer to repair these fonts , but I didn't want to fork over the $69 for a license. I wish they'd drop the price to about $30 - I'd have bought it right away. Regardless, thanks for the tip.
