I've started to scan images of old bills into my pismo, but the irritating thing is how do I link nine images into one scrolling pdf in OS X? Can it be done in OSX nativley?

Not with the system tools, but there are software applications that can do this. I use PStill ,but here are a bunch of other PDF tools that could help:

MacUpdate search for "PDF"

If I understand you correctly.. it can be done.

Just select all the images and then drag them onto the application (Preview) icon. They will be openend as pages in one single file...

But while they open in one Preview window (with the drawer showing the other documents), they are not contagenated and saved into one file.

In that case, how about placing the images into a word document and then saving the document as a PDF? Easy enough isn't it?
